Because Junk appears cheap (but can always get cheaper) and uses terms like prolific, prodigious, vast, massive, world class, game changing all designed to appeal to the gigantic upside potential blah, blah.
That was current at the time and designed to simply show visual analysis and well as some simple average of the neighbouring Florence Field wells.
Fast Forward to Nov-15 and AKK Investor presentation - Slide 13 - "Our Directly Adjacent Neighbour hit on 21 Consecutive Oil Wells in the Pierre Formation"
Essentially the same thing, except I used all 24 wells and AKK used 21 wells. Appear to have left out the lowest 3 producers.
In my original post I made the comment "If you dropped out the 2 highest and the 2 lowest wells and averaged over the remaining 20 you'd get an average of 21,466 BO/well. The median production calculated to 16,463 BO/well."
OK - uplift it to 20,000 BO/well as your average EUR not 1st year production. I wont even bother with net revenue estimates - should be self evident.
Only if these Pierre wells deliver the results of say the top 2 producers every time (who wants to bet on black every spin on roulette) will it be game changing.
Good luck
