How is it even relevant. #40 in the list of top US banks by size (of assets) has $48B. What's Sturm got ...$2.6B ...who cares. Its a small bank holding company. The are still about 6,000 (yes thousand) banks in the USA ... plenty of small community banks ... all FDIC insured so real banks. Would it sound less "impressive" if it were the say #300 bank in the USA (top 5%).
Besides its $860K. Surprising ANB didn't learn from its last loan which of reading Qtrly reports serves my memory correctly AKK were in default of and sold the EFS and Miss properties to repay.
Speaking of which weren't AKK spruiking themselves as "debt free" and slagging "North American Oil and Gas Companies filing for bankruptcy on a weekly basis due to high debt levels"
Short memory must have a ....short memory.
Sounds like a "bridging facility " to me as the reference to project finance is the key reading. That is usually secured by cash flows... let sees what transpires (or conspires).
