What would do if you were in charge of the company? Close it down?

Not every company has a "Gold Mine" parcel of land. They have to work with what they have (or in this case supplement it by purchasing some more). They have to raise money as they don't have bucket loads of money coming in from producing assets. Every company has to start from somewhere.

If you are not happy with the land they have and them raising money to advance these projects then stick to BHP and RIO.
