The Electricity Map shows the world's electricity generation or consumtion in real time. At the same time, you see the carbon dioxide emissions and how much of the electricity generation is e.i. renewable.

The Electricity Map collects and structures real-time data from power grids and system operators worldwide. The map provides current information about produced or consumed electricity per country. It is possible to zoom in on individual countries.

Electricity Map is available at Electricitymap.org. The service has been developed by Tomorrow, which supplies energy-related forecast and prediction services. It is also available as an app at Google Play and Apple App Store.

Adam Pantkowski, a developer on the Electricity Map, writes in a chronicle about the project that ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) "proved to be the best source of most day-to-date facts about the country's electricity generation".
