Wow!!!
A lot to digest here.
Who could have seen anything like this coming????
On a more serious note!!!!
This year’s AGM will be a cracker. APG’s future is still very uncertain and a lot of shareholders will be looking forward to the AGM to try and work out what is going on.
But talk about treating shareholders with disdain.
Are shareholders happy that this year’s AGM will start at 4:30 pm (almost at the close of business hours).
Do shareholders want such a crucial AGM rushed because it is starting so late in the day??
Will the company’s legal and audit team be available for shareholder questions as required, for the duration of the meeting - or will they rush off early at quitting time??
Some HC posters have already said they will not attend because of the bad timing.
The APG board and management hold at least 12 meetings during the year – and shareholders are not invited.
The AGM is the meeting for shareholders, and it should be held at a time that suits the shareholders (not management). If shareholders want an earlier AGM – there is nothing stopping them ringing the company and asking to speak to the chairman, and asking for an earlier AGM.(say 2:00pm)
