Hi IO
Many thanks for the informative post. As a SGQ investor I spend a lot of my time trying to learn about the geology, mining processes and the "value adding" I haven't found a stock or a forum thread, for that matter, as interesting as this.
I dont deny I have a financial interest in this but I also find the macro influences fascinating. The analysts, LME, execs, forum posters etc make it delicious. Trying to get a handle on the industry in general is no different to Aviation which has been my industry for 30 years. Every flight I undertake is different and we spend time planning, briefing, looking at forecasts, logistics etc to try and predict the "best" plan given the information we have at hand. We operate in a very fluid environment that can change in an instant and we have to adjust accordingly.
I see the EV industry in the same way. Its like the atmosphere and with all the variables the "winds" can shift quickly. Who knows what the current battery technology will be in 5 years? and what will be the preferred constituents that will give the best cost versus efficiency. How are the trade wars going to pan out? Will a recession stifle the adoption of EVs? What demands will EVs put on current power infrastructure? Will government policy keep up with this rapidly changing technology?
So many questions ....maybe i should just focus on the dragon and the rest will be what it will be!!
Thanks again
cheers
