If PDY has share consolidation of 10:1 (ie 0.4c becomes 4c with 10X less shares on issue, so EQUAL market cap), than price will collapse because this put punters out of business (ie hoping to get lucky with 25% return). At 4c (10:1 consolidated), next increment is 4.1c and 0.1c profit out of 4c punters will walk away from buying. Punters will walk away from 4c (10:1 consolidation) buying, but NOT 0.4c (before 10:1 consolidation). BOTH 4c (after consolidation) and 0.4c (before consolidation) the company has EXACTLY the same market cap.

So, at 0.4c buyers are NOT looking at overall market cap but hoping to get lucky.

Be weary of a share consolidation except that it will be a way for this company to achieve true value..

PDY should be valued at just its cash backing IMO which was $1mil end of June but that is 1/14 of current market cap. It currently trades at .4c so with the lowest share price available to trade on the asx is .1c it can only get down to a market cap of 3.25mil.

However with the magic of a share consolidation the share price and market cap can continue to drop
