Need to disclose that I hold ARV and are a supporter of the Deep Hole as a research project.
Also should let you blokes know that because Really Deep Hole 1 (I never actually remember what it's real name is) has hit an intrusion where it was meant to intersect all the sediments down to Archean basement - they are talking about an ASD2 somewhere closer to the MM reefs.
I think it is good research, if you don't look you will never know.
