Ann: Arafura to build Rare Earth Separation Plant at Nolans, page-5

I hope I am not alone in seeing something very positive in this announcement.

For more years than I care to remember I have been disgusted at i have seen as the imbecility of lazy government and greedy miners not seeking to gain any potential value-adding to mining where it is environmentally and economically sustaining. To my shame, as a passive shareholder, I also have contributed to the apathetic attitude to value-adding  Don't get me started on previous government apathy towards missed sovereign wealth opportunities from previous mining booms.

A recent AUZ Ann on the Sconi development in Northern Queensland, where battery grade nickel and cobalt sulphides will be manufactured on site, related to potential government funding. The following extract may be pertinent to Arafura and hopefully NAIF funding is being followed up by our BOD.

I applaud the NAIF initiative from government.

"The NAIF is a major long-term initiative of the Australian Government and provides access to up to $5 billion of finance, which may be on concessional terms to support infrastructure development that generates public benefit for northern Australia. It also seeks to encourage and complement private sector investment to further that objective."

Anyone else interested in the concept of a sovereign wealth fund with the coming mining boom? I am sure both mine and your grandchildren would be grateful for any support.
