The key to this is what independent payload can be carried and price. There is so many aspects in marine environment that can be done from surface craft. Durability and just how much in service testing has been done would be interesting to know although most parts are based on modular components just in their packaging.

The key to this is actually getting a buyer to purchase that buyer getting financial or information gain to justify it. It has to be a high margin niche for someone to bother as technology is moving quickly so you need benefit and payback over and done quickly.
The interesting part of this is also if they are holding any patents in this regard or are simply applying other lic patents and components but doing it a innovative way.

If anyone is talking to management a approximate pricing of units and base station would tell holders the sort of organisations that could apply these and what economic or informational return would be required to justify it?
