It does not make any sense to me. Why would they not have just made an offer to KEY shareholders for the TZ/UK/Italy/Surname/Aus assets. Given the last few years I doubt many would have refused.
Makes more sense to me that they wanted their canning basin assets in a separate vehicle so capital could be pursued specifically for those assets without impacting the existing EGO register and providing a clear risk division.
