    I have never heard of such a proposal... or maybe it is exceptionally rare?

    Surely if they are taking it private; it should be done in a more transparent manner than this?

    I totally do not understand the rationale behind this; if management can not maximise shareholder value maybe they need to hire someone who can effectively explain what the value proposition is.
