"Going Troppo" is an exclusively Australian slang term for "going crazy"!
And I love your last sentence as you exactly express what I was and many others too: Very "Troppo" during the last 20 years of investing in OIL! If we wouldn't have been, OIL would not exist anymore!
But the guy who kicked me in the nuts in the first place as you so nicely say and took my wallet passed it on a short time ago to others, who will pay me back my devastating loss!
