Good to see that lordearl and Vlad still have a sense of humour. It is a well stablished principle that those who have skin in the game are taken more seriously than mere spectators, that was the basis of my post. Who would act on a tip from a guy at the races who wouldn't put a bet on ?
A more extreme example is the bacon and eggs analogy - the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed.
