Yes cash is king. Most entities are legit. But I have been caught out by SBB an ASX listed company that for 18 odd months had remarkable cashflow and a substantial cash balance. Turned in to a deadduck seemingly by siphoning cash receipts into "operating costs". Will never really know the full story with that one.
Anyway I digress. 99.5% of companies are legit in the reporting of cash receipts. BIG and APT grew at similar rates to what NOV have done recently.
I don't believe the crypto trading space has had a big influence on cashflow growth. The 2017 announcements demonstrate this was behind maybe $300-500k of receipts. A minority. Reckon it's mainly driven from e-commerce and Chinese OTC mobile payment merchant sales.
