Interesting interview with Alan Kohler in 2014 re his SMSF investments......
Was aged 62 at time of interview and says he has a 5 year investment horizon. Fair enough.
Has 22 small cap stocks in his SMSF fund......says he is looking for high growth companies and says he picks companies he thinks will go up 10 times (1o baggers). Wouldn't have predicted that. His best investment was Greencross - bought at one dollar and went to 9 dollars (almost a 10 bagger) - it did appear to go to 10 dollars after this interview in 2014 and now back at 5 dollars.
Says he does not invest in big companies at all or the market - no ETFs. Backs individual CEO's of these small companies. Says he invested in Forge Group Ltd and lost all his money as it went broke. BUT says ok because diversified.
Recommend diversification for risk protection. Feck. All my cash in TNT.
Kohler interviewed Keith Glennan a while back. Wonder if one of his 22 current stocks is TNT (Kohler interview above occurred before Glennan interview with Kohler).
