UK business has been profitable due to historic primary care customer base and recently through 'cost cutting' which has all but got rid of anybody with half a brain and left with clueless 'yes men' in positions of power.
Today the company is going backwards as there is no innovation, competition taking away customers and no significant wins. They have lost all major tenders recently and there is a lack of strategic direction. In short they are hurtling towards irrelevance...it would be worth checking the credentials of decision makers and what exactly the strategy is going forward and is the execution realistic.
