The lab they are working with in California is quite prominent in molecular diagnostic fields. The study still hasn't been published in a journal, but this can take time and a conference presentation alone is worth a lot, demonstrating an independent valuation
The STI kits are still for research use only, but the co has had commercial orders already and it seems that it won't be long before they are approved for use in Australia and EU. US might take 1-3 years, as far as I can tell.
I was reading a 2016 review published by CDC (centre for diseases control in Atlanta) and it said no PCR kit was available to identify chlamydia LGV alongside usual chlamydia, so the new kit should attract interest. Apparently, this serovar is more common in northern hemisphere so might increase OS sales.
