They receive the options for services, no additional payment as far as I am aware, in fact it would be a cash inflow on exercise. The downside being some dilution as happens whenever you allocate options. Having said that I expect they'll be working super hard to get the share price well above the $1.20 exercise price...they'll be pushing this very hard to their investor base and to institutions.
Perhaps the biggest week in Fintech in the world is this week in Sydney at Sibos, hopefully identitii getting some good traction there.
