You'd be surprised at how low the shipping costs are. I worked on putting up an iron ore plant that was and still shipping 58% Fe from Pilbara to Port Headland by road trains, nearly 700km round trip and they were still turning a profit even during the period iron ore prices collapsed a few years ago. Even the low grade concentrate RE would be worth close to 1000x times the price of iron ore. Still, thanks for expressing your concerns about the transport costs but I'm sure that if they get to high GB will load the ore on barges and float it down the Ord river during the wet season. LOL
Can't see why they wouldn't. Its only a tiny plant, simpler then LAMP which was put togheter by farmers and right now in WA we have an oversupply of skilled workers following the end of the iron ore & LNG construction booms so no shortage of good staff. And as a bonus for NTU the labour rates are well bellow what they were 2-3 years ago. Again, thanks for your concerns.
