I remember that someone told me some years ago that the true meaning and explanation of the abbreviation PhD was:-

Piled Higher & Deeper.

This management proves that theory daily if not at least weekly!

Whilst I'm on that subject, I have another gem that helps to understand the illustrious leaders of this company.

Two people were in a hot air balloon and descended below the clouds and were hovering above a field where another was another person walking.

Not know where they were, one person in the balloon shouted out -
"Hello there!
Can you kindly tell us where we are?"

To which the person in the balloon answered:
"Why of course, you're in a balloon!"

The people in the balloon then ascended again and one of them said:
"That guy in the field just now was an academic or intellectual."

The other asked -
"How can you tell?"

The person answered -
"Because he was 100% correct, but was of absolutely no practical use to us or anyone else!
