I'd say the current management aren't overly keen on pursuing the gold opportunity - it hasn't really gone anywhere in several years. With the funding situation, they really need a JV partner willing to push it forward. They could also pursue a partner willing to do a farm in on any nickel potential in exchange for exploration costs. Being out of money restricts what they can do but no point sitting idle for the foreseeable future with constant dilution to cover wages and admin.
