Still can not assume it is them. There could be governments, banks, brokers, people using brokers all involved in this one. We are not in a position to know.

You would think if you pick a stock like this where gold, silver and zinc are all going gangbusters, it would not get this dirty looking over a few $.

If they are truly fixing it, using good times to remove debt and covering their tails from baddies then it could be fine. Certainly a mystery.
