sorry joatman, I was just defending your attack. whilst the shale gas is down in US, it is not largely driven by oil price alone. in the US, they flare the gas because the price is low. it costs too much to get it to market. flaring the gas is required to get to the oil. when the oil doesn't pay, the well shuts in.
India is a different market entirely, almost the opposite end of the spectrum. the demand for gas is high. if OEX was producing, they'd sell and be the darlings of the market. their market is at their doorstep!!
the US oil price is irrelevant to the situation in India. its all about making money by producing energy, not doing research and proof of concept. the concept has been going gangbusters for over a decade in other parts of the world. focusing on making money just doesn't seem to be one of the goals of OEX management.
