All discovery evidence should have been exchanged prior to Xmas and hearings before Justice Murphy set for 9.30am, 8 Feb 2019.
Not much fanfare or hubris on solicitors website and Aveo appear confident to the point where they wanted a $1.2m security posted by the financial backers (US based company) in the event of the applicant's failing and with court costs awarded to Aveo. But it probably is in their interests to pad out proceedings to see what muck is dragged out of the Royal Commission into aged care. This can only but assist their case if Aveo are again perceived as 'bullies'. I very much doubt this purely on the basis of the lack of aged care beds owned by Aveo.
On a more positive note, Aveo have enlisted the services of Rachel Lane, a very well respected retirement expert, to give series of lectures on the subject of retirement living.
