It would seem a logical step but my understanding is that PRU have been resistant in the past. The company has invested significant time and resources in Ghana so it would be disappointing if nothing ever eventuated from this work. The Japa concession contains four prospects Dadieso, Japa, Adiembra and Dompoase, with Adiembra being the most extensively mineralised area found so far. Part of the Japa deposit sits under a village and exploration over the entire concession has only really ever focussed on these prospects. As elsewhere in Ghana if you are not at a mining stage the local artisanal miners funded by dodgy Chinese syndicates move in and start scraping at the ground using pretty sophisticated mining methods and machinery. This is a big problem in Ghana for exploration that the government is trying to sort out.
