Only thing in common between Protean and CETO 5 is they are technically both point-absorbers (big deal - many of those out there) and they are array-able - which essentially just means more than one LOL.

CETO 5 as I understand it, converted wave energy into pressure piped fluid to land (not compressed air like Protean) and CWE have mothballed it anyway (a condition of ARENA funding I think?) in favour of in-buoy electrical generation with CETO 6, a much larger buoy - 18 metres across from memory.

Plus I see JohnnyDust is a CWE holder . . . . mmm.
