So Woodside reaseased to the ASX that they had a Arete, why on earth would they do that if the Senegal Government didn't issue it? What is is to gain from that? The only entity that matters is the Senegal Government and if WPL have participating rights to the JV. An ASX announcement wont change what is happening in Senegal, so what is the point? Lying on an ASX annoannouncement is a big offence, so what was the point? Particularly as such a 'lie' would easily come undone if untrue.

So Cath is also an expert in Senegal Administrative law as well? Knowing that all arete's must be gazetted? In quite a few countries ministerial orders dont need to be gazetted. Can someone please show me the Senegalese law that states all Arete's must be gazetted.

I would suggest that too much reliance is being put on what FAR says, particularly in person off the record, because they seem to often say what people want to hear but have a tendency of failing to deliver (SNE RISC report, PE 12 months & $1m etc etc)
