I was a former MYG shareholder, there was never a metallurgy problem, but there was a mgmt. problem. Copper meant a standard CIL plant was not the proper process route - a mistake the former pre-MYG owners did when they tried to treat copper-rich ores through the old plant.
It was painful watching the md scout around for low-grade iron ore when Deflector looked so promising, with very juicy near-mine targets which DRM largely ignored. Going back through the MYG announcements, Da Vinci could have been discovered 3 years ago.
Once Tony James came on board it started to turn-around. He actually got some drilling happening too, there was that significant high-grade intercept to the south - I am unsure if that was ever followed up.
Anyway, it sounds like Deflector is back on track - the resource-reserve conversion numbers are not particularly enticing but the prospectivity is there. That entire mine corridor needs to be hit hard!
