NT Terms of Reference required two months public consultation process. So long as the EIS draft proposal is thourough and completed in consultation with NTEPA is should address all issues in advance and not result in further questions and a Supplimentary Report. There are no Native Title issue's. The Refinery claims to be using processes that are industry known. European experience for titanium dioxide refinement and environmental effects is well documented. Initially there were heaps of concerns but it seems there are now industry accepted guidelines and let's face it if anyone knows this game its SMS. I down loaded a survey conducted on  titanium refineries in Europe utilising  both sulfide and cloride processes were they were assessing waste and air contamination. From which the acceptablevstandards were developed. Didn't look pretty way back but must be all good now cos there's heaps of Refineries, some in populated areas.  I'd say 6 to 9 months is in line with what we know about the process.

The hold ups in Mt Peake were multi party procedures and developing and the building of a major Mine in an an arid dessert region were every 7 years or so you get a deluge that reaks havoc above surface and replenishes the aquifer below serfice. It doesn't take much to see the concerns when you looking at a 17 year LOM.

I think that's why they didn't go gang busters and JORC comply  the eastern tennement. To have run EIS application with a 40 year LOM would have been suicide.  They don't mind giving the Refinery a 40 year LOR.

II went through the presentation and read the really helpful posts to suppliment the presentation. Looks like finance is a bit further ahead than maybe we all imagined.
