I think depending on whom you speak to then they all have their own opinion as to which REIT is the best at the moment and all have valid arguments.
I like the look of stocks like CHC for likely dividends and security -just look at the tennant list and you get a secure feeling inside-, MDT seems *incredible* value when you read between the lines, but appears scary at first glance. Theres a whole host out there that other people would recommend too. A few may go under so you have to be selective.
I also like the look of a stable dividend property stock such as OAK which is more tightly held and less volatile, or SDG with the buyback and stability of the company.
My view is to split your bounty between a few different REITS rather than jump in whole hog on one and you should end smiling.
