Glencore from all reports had sold their additional production to come on line at the end of the year to the Chinese.
It is now emerging that this hasn't gone through. It appears that such deals are done on the current market price for the commodity less 10%. So they are baulking and we can add the current DRC taxation uncertainty to that. It's a producer's market now.
Most current production is going to Mobile Phone batteries. The EV battery requirements haven't even started to take real effect yet. Yeah, they don't have any for that in my opinion. So where the commodity price for Cobalt could go is pure conjecture. But we do know it is up.
Still looking over the Kipushi Plant. Former Director Brewer had visited one twice in Lubumbashi and there are another two there. So there is no problem producing more than 4k tpa if required.
Waiting on the 'Milestone' announcement.
