Having had plenty of practical experience with Virbac animal health products ( vaccines/fly lice and internal parasites) I'd be surprised that any compound would work well as a broad acre pesticide and in an animal health applications for fly/lice/ticks. You need something pretty potent ( nasty) to control ticks/lice/flys. I'm no chemist but I think the chemistry of the active molecule has to survive in a solvent for application. Usually a hydrocarbon.
