I'd argue that the shares are not worthless whilst the administration process is incomplete and unresolved. Shareholders for example have yet to experience the full loss and writeoff of shares (12c), so neither should a CFD holder. Read their T&Cs and disclaimer carefully and consult a solicitor if you need to. At the end of day, all debt is negotiable, and at least argue a 50& discount on what they want paid or make them wait as long as possible.
As I side note, I would avoid using CFDs on illiquid instruments. Only on things that will never stop trading E.g exchanges, futures, indices, commodities etc...and perhaps the top companies of an index - top ASX 20 etc... which will most likely get government bailouts if things went wrong.
