People, it gets better than 3kg samples.

"Approximately 3 kilogram samples
are collected and analysed for gold using the Fire Assay technique to determine the estimated grade of
each ore block."

Of the 3kg samples it states it is analysed by Fire Assay technique.  Well a Fire Assay is only 50 (fifty) grams.  What happens is that the 3kg sample is sent to the laboratory, they then break down the sample and only assay/assess 50 g of the original 3kg to determine gold content.

So eventually 50g estimates the gold contained in the development round being fired (2.5m advance)
