The fact you mentioned nevil schoenmakers got my attention as I am well aware of who he is and what his appointment did to the stemcell board last year. While minor, there are definitely some links that can be made and if true are a huge deal in this announcement.

My first point of investigating was the crossover with the reference to the Netherlands. There are not many people that have established themselves as much as Nevil has out of the Netherlands.

My 2nd point was this line "The plants and seeds have been preserved and maintained since bred as the first hybrids from original landrace strains in the 1970s and 1980s." Coupled with the above point it links the two closer as well.

While a hopeful long shot and only spurred on by the quoted post, if true ma genetics are an unbelievable pick up for auberna and for AEB.
