I used to sell IT software into this and other sectors and often used the partners/resellers. The good ones are very handy to keep on side.
It is very common across the industry to use resellers, in fact many clients prefer to deal through a reseller rather than direct with the company. They can/will often recommend a quality product to their existing client base too. Definitely nothing to be concerned about, actually its very promising that they have shown us support like this imo.
