When CDC was first announced, 164M shares traded (20c --> 45c, peaking @59c) in the 2 days that followed (day of announcement, plus the next trading day). The next 5 trading days then saw another 64M shares traded (46c --> 31c, peaking @48.5c and plumbing @31c). The currently traded volume is 41M shares yesterday and 29M shares so far today (~~43% of the earlier stated CDC exercise of Dec15). So, not quite the same thing as it was for back then (when it was supported by financials, estimates, cost commitment, timing, etc).
