Ah the fun of the spec end of the market.
The sad thing is , not just the money I lost , I really believed that the ruby venture was sound and was going to be profitable.
Looking back in hindsight , always easy , should have taken some off the table prior to auction , but when the CEO states " north of $100US a carat " you take that as gospel.
But then again he was also talking about dividends , so that explains a lot.
It has been an expensive lesson , but what does not kill you makes you stronger and hopefully smarter.
Time to start drinking !!!
