    There is a surprising amount of complex geological data (much derived from geophysics/seismic) available on the Musgrave greater regional area. Most reports are highly technical (the link above is just one of many reports for example) and the understanding will evolve as more data comes in.

    In broad terms the "Musgrave" formational events are 2-500Million years younger than those around Telfer. This, combined with geology that favours mafic related deposits (Ni/Cu) in most places makes it a very different target to the Paterson. Having said this some new data may come to light and change this view.

    Awhile back similar thoughts came to me and I posted this which gives some correlations with the Paterson via the Paterson Orogen which was a major regional event that involved areas that had been "mangled" many times before.
