And this is how it should be done. This is an incredibly well put together deck which reflects a well executed strategy so far and the formulation of strategic planning from SLC.
Slide 5 outlines the amount of work and execution that has gone into placing Superloop in an enviable position moving forward. SLC is acquisitive and executing well whilst other currently bigger players are dealing with several issues.
The simplified structure and strategic vision presented in this deck of Superloop (wholesale), Superloop+ (managed service provider and including establishment of cybersecurity practice - Bevan has been presenting on cybersecurity being the key trend of 2018 in his recent presentations so I’m happy to see the company’s focus on this opportunity) and SuperBB (broadband under a single brand which is roll up of the two recent acquisitions as well as part of BigAir) as the retail play is exciting as the end to end offerings as a total solution provider now come under the same moniker increasing “customer stickiness” with + and BB leveraging SLCs key infrastructure. It all highlights how far SLC has come in a short space. It was only a couple of months ago that a presentation was released highlighting that SLC needed to focus on product cataloguing, structuring and M&A integration. It appears they are executing well on both getting their house in order while looking for further strategic options and are much more agile and efficient then many peers in this space and other companies in general. Well done management.
I thought other key highlights from this deck were:
- now in a position to compete with the big 4 for corporate and enterprise with first big win (slide 9)
- mention of signing new and exisiting customers on HK network
- best sales quarter from June to Sept (expected but nice that it’s confirmed)
- currently evaluating markets outside of Australia for wireless (this is outstanding news!)
- going after nbn opportunities
- demand in additional adjacent markets NZ and Japan
-hitting peak integration over the next 3 months
- supercharging wireless base stations for the future
- continuing to evaluate new markets and acquisitions
SLC will be the fifth big Australian telco soon....only with a much much better exposure to Asia than its peers. Exciting to watch this unfold.
