Could be manipulation - or just normal trading volatility. I do wish I had some spare cash to buy at these prices though.

There was some shorting activity a while ago around the 90c mark, seems like they will do okay after all. I hope the settlement has the impact on the sp that you are expecting - I think it wil l- I'm just not sure that we have the same time frame. In the hip replacement case it took from ~1 july 2016 , $1.07 to around $1.50 on the 13/10/16. So it took the market around three months to reach it's peak after the announcement was released. Maybe, and I hope this is the case, it will take just a few days to see a big sp increase after the release but I don't know if that will be the case from experience - things tend to move slowly with SHJ. Most likely of course SHJ is in a much better position now than july 2016 looking at the business fundamentals. 

All of this assumes a causation between share price and the de puy settlement and of course although this is likely we don't know this for sure or can quantify it.
