How about instead of spending emotional energy on pondering sinister motives and demanding that others "come clean", you simply muster whatever brain cells are at your disposal, to evaluate whether or not there is merit in the message? You are quite free to refute the message, and if your refutation stands the test of reason, I'm guessing nobody will be asking you to "come clean" on your motives.
