re: Ann: AEL's Increased 42 cent offer fo...
well - I've only just seen the new offer... and obviously I think it's a joke. and yes I will be writing to ASIC (and the ADI board) via their online complaint form later tonight. I think the complaint should focus on the boards valuation of 60 odd cents and the potential for shenanigans on the offices - because this is just about as dodgy a shareholder butt-rodgering as I've ever seen!
I posted a month ago about the close proximity of the AWE-ARC/ADI offices.. and the mental image of the 'offer' being thrown over the partition in the form of a paper aeroplane!!! looks like i might have been closer to the truth than even I thought. This is about board memebers kow-towing to the larger partner/shareholder to the detriment of smaller long term ADI shareholders.
A question... if AWE get all the ADI directors shares and no more... how many will they have?
.. personally I don't think too many long termers will be tempted to sell out. but goldmun-sux will probably take their 0.5-1c and run, and I presume the board members are obliged to sell. other than that - AWE might not get too many more.
The other thing this price indicates - is that the AWE offer may have been only designed to get attention with the added bonus for AWE that they will increase their holding in a increasingly sure thing', and increase the SP of same 'sure thing' in the process.
I'm not allowed to say 'don't sell' so i won't offer that advice... but I sure as hell won't be selling. And if I'm forced to I'll be happy to join anyone in a class action!
