"One share of Berkshire Hathaway for $300,000..." This prices small shareholders out of the market. If the share price was split, it opens up the market to more buyers. Share price usually reflects demand. By making each share for AEF more affordable ($1.65 as opposed to $165) we should see more buyers = share price going up with the demand. Or at least, I hope so! I topped up today
