re: Ann: Admission to Official List - Market ... Genesis Resources Ltd (GES) listed 27/10/9 following an issue of 15 million shares at 20c each with provision for over subscriptions of up to a further 5 million shares for a total of around 33.48 million shares.
Genesis has assembled a portfolio of exploration projects in Queensland and the Northern Territory and entered into a j/v within the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia with a local conglomerate.
It plans to initially focus on exploration of its 55% owned manganese projects at Gladstone and McArthur River projects and 100% owned Fenn Gap manganese project.
The Gladstone project in Queensland (GES 55%, WDR 45%) is located 15 km from the Gladstone port and hosts the historic Mt Millar manganese mine.
Genesis has also signed a j/v agreement over the Plavica copper-gold project in Macedonia (GES earning 62%). Plavica covers 210 sq km on the Carpathian Volcanic Arc, a major epithermal system that runs through Macedonia.
Other projects in Australia include the Aritunga gold project, the Alice Springs polymetallic project, the Laura River project and the Pioneer gold project (GES 100% of each).
Directors
Eddie Pang, non exec chairman. Mr Pang operates a trading business supplying the Chinese market with Australian wool and wine, Chilean iron ore, cathode copper and timber and exporting Chinese building materials to Vietnam and the UAE as well as Chinese chemicals to pharmaceutical facilities in Canada and the UAE.
Pedro Kasteilorizos, managing director. Mr Kastellorizos has a BSc in Geology and over 12 years exploration experience. Before founding Genesis he was Technical Director for both Batavia Mining Ltd and Regency Mines plc. Before that he was exploration manager for Tennant Creek Gold.
Dr A Kerim Sener, MSc, PhD, non exec technical director. Dr Sener has a PhD in geology and 10 years exploration experience having worked for Independence Gold Mining Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Lonmin Plc in Zimbabwe and for Northern Gold NL in the Northern Territory.
Peter Hepburn-Brown, non exec. Mr Hepburn-Brown has over 25 years mining industry experience, having previously worked for Siberia Mining Corporation, Harmony Gold (Australia) and Great Central as well as Niugini Mining and WMC. He is currently a non exec director of Kasbah Resources Ltd and Alloy Resources Ltd.
