* The gold mine investment is far from"shredding itself" - 3.2moz and more drilling to come.
* There's nothing off about the way VEC is being handled. The facts are it took longer than expected to get the deal signed - the reasons are understood and accepted. They had a deadline to make a payment, could not get funds in time from FT and Magna was the quickest option. Not a good deal at all but better than not making payment and having the deal fall through.
* Brewer didn't jump ship - he finished his job and left. I'm pretty sure a CR was always on the table - will have to go back over previous announcements re funding to find it.
* How has VEC not been transparent? they were not expecting delays from FT and pretty sure they didn't want to turn to Magna! But they had to in order to secure the deal.
* I've watched innumerable companies where the share price dropped 50%+ but they recovered and went on to new highs. I'm quietly confident of the same happening here.
* If FT had come through, if we did not have the Magna loan, the share price would have rallied considerably. Nothing has changed about the company or the acquisition except Magna.
I think that loan is currently fully factored into the current share price.
I'm just as upset as anyone about the Magna deal but it's done and we have to move forward, management are now working on getting better financing and within a few weeks, if not earlier, this will all be behind us.
