I think there may be a misunderstanding with regard to the 'over 36 people hired' comment. I read it as meaning they had in TOTAL over 36 full-time sales and operational staff, rather than they hired an extra 36 people.

If you read the last appendix 4C , the expected staff costs for the March quarter are $1,046k, compared to $746k in the December quarter, if they added 36 extra staff, it would cost way more than that.

In another thread someone posted a linkedIn article where Ben Chester was welcoming the on-boarding of eight new full-time employees, now add a few contractors, some wage inflation and sales bonuses to that and you could easily arrive at that $1,046k figure.
