you forgot to mention its over 40m below the pit floor.
It would seem rediculous to walk away from that, unless the pit shell design had been mined out.
Many open cut mines ive worked in and now closed ops still have good gold deeper than was mined.
To get at it now would require opening the pit wider all the way from surface at an inefficient waste/ ore ratio.
I hope to see better images to determine the Penny shape.
