I think the elephant in the room is the market moving from climbing a wall of worry (housing prices, China fears, consumer indebtedness, lack-of-recession syndrome, lack-of-wage-growth syndrome etc etc) to a realisation that economies, here & abroad, are humming along nicely.... and perhaps, just perhaps, the very beginnings of euphoria.
And a euphoric market loves acquisitions.
Roll out the barrel!
